Meet Our CWPW Team

At The Center for Whole-Person Wellbeing (CWPW), we believe that wellbeing is about more than any one part of who you are. Our team is here to support your whole self, including your mind, body, spirit, and everything that makes you uniquely you. Through compassionate, personalized, and integrative approaches, we meet you where you are, honor your individual experiences, and walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges, changes, and opportunities for growth.

We invite you to get to know the people behind CWPW, the experiences that shape our work, and the passion and heart we bring to supporting others. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, exploring resources for someone you care about, or looking for a partner to strengthen wellbeing in your community or organization, we would love to connect. Reach out, introduce yourself, ask questions, or simply start a conversation. You do not have to know exactly what you need to take that first step. We are here to help you explore what support could look like for you.

Katherine Melton, BSE, MPH, MCHES, CWP,

GC-C, CSAP (she/her)

CEO, Certified Wellness Practitioner, Wellbeing and Recovery Consultant, Author

Katherine Melton is the owner and lead wellbeing and recovery consultant, wellness practitioner, and health educator at The Center for Whole-Person Wellbeing (CWPW). She brings an interdisciplinary background in education, mental health, and public health, allowing her to approach wellbeing, recovery, and prevention through a comprehensive, evidence-based, and systems-informed lens. In addition to consulting, public speaking, and training, Katherine provides individualized health education and wellbeing support grounded in best practices in health education, behavior change, mental health, and whole-person wellbeing.

Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Kansas, specializing in Community Health, and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration from Concordia University Nebraska. She is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) and a Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) through the National Wellness Institute. Her professional experience spans post-secondary education, government, K–12, corporate, clinical care, and nonprofit settings, giving her a nuanced understanding of how people, programs, policies, and systems intersect to influence wellbeing.

At the heart of Katherine’s work is the belief that wellbeing, prevention, and recovery support should meet people where they are: responsive to their needs, inclusive of their experiences, and sustainable in real life. She takes a whole-person approach that recognizes the many individual, environmental, social, and systemic factors that shape health, wellbeing, recovery, and our ability to thrive.

Katherine partners with organizations, communities, and individuals to translate evidence and best practices into meaningful, practical action. Her work includes strategic consultation, individualized wellbeing support, training and facilitation, program and resource development, policy and procedure support and practice, and capacity-building. Whether working alongside an organization to strengthen its systems or supporting an individual in their own wellbeing journey, her goal is to create approaches that are thoughtful and evidence-informed while remaining realistic, accessible, and sustainable.

Her work is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based practices. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions, Katherine builds upon existing strengths, listens closely to the people and communities involved, and identifies opportunities for meaningful change. Ultimately, she strives to leave people and organizations with greater knowledge, confidence, capacity, and practical tools they can continue using long after their work together ends.
